Lord knows what Astera’s predecessors have been up to (knitting more winter warmers for the porcine population, no doubt) prior to your arrival in the New World, but one thing’s for certain – they haven’t been doing their job. There are monsters all over the shop.

You can’t even make it to land without your boat being upended by what’s essentially a living volcano, but hey, that’s what you’re here for, right? To gleefully go about driving Monster Hunter: World’s population of megafauna to extinction?

Pukei-Pukei, Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku? They’ll all fall before your sharpened blades without so much as a chicken scratch, but what’s the saying? Pride before the fall?

You’ll learn early on in your hunting career that Capcom’s intention with World is to ease you in, because once you’re settled, that’s when the big boys come out to play. Timing, skill and strategy become the most important resources at your disposal from here on out. Hacking away like a madman won’t cut it anymore.

Whether it be Jurassic Park rejects, bone-chilling wyverns or the mythical Elder Dragons perched at the food chain’s summit, it matters not. All must die – yes, even Nergigante – by your hand, and we’re here to help guide you to victory.

Suit up!
